The light fire of Capo Caccia overlooks the bay of Alghero. Usually it is not open to the public since it is owned and operated by the Italian Army. But since each congress needs a social program and the congress organizes were VERY smart this time, we visited the lighthouse prior to a nice dinner in a cantina nearby (I will tell about it later).

A lighthouse is at this spot since 1864, the structure you see has been rebuild in the 1950ies.

By the way - I did not climb all the way up the rocks by purpose. Did not want to scare everyone ;-)

Thank you Giuseppe. It was indeed VERY special.
We also went to the archeological site at Sant'Imbenia - a real BIG treat to me, I was very happy :-))

I have been to Alghero and its surroundings and it is a very beautiful area. But I have never been to the Lighthouse of Capo Caccia which is in a magnificent position, but where, usually, one cannot go, nor to Sant'Imbenia.

Magnificent location, fantastic colors and great light, but the highlight is the seagull on the right side of the picture. I look forward to your report from the Cantina :-)

Ich habe mir mit Begeisterung diesen eindrucksvollen Standort mit dem herrlich gelegenen Leuchtturm schon mehrfach angesehen ... Du hast das alles sehr sehr harmonisch abgestimmt, Christoph - für mich eine perfekte Arbeit in Deinem persönlichen Stil !!!

Damit das Werk verdientermaßen in die TOP 7000 kommt, gerne mein Herz ...
