Area: France      Date: 3 January 2017
SOLVED RIDDLE.

A foce di U Fangu (in Corsican language) or Delta du Fangu (in French) is the delta of the Fangu river.
The pano was shot near the Genoese Tower of Galeria. It is a nature reserve and, in my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful areas of Corsica.

A most beautiful place indeed, but not too hard (or I was lucky with my first guess). Your are near G.... and the shapely mountain at the very right should be P... O...

Too late ... congratulations to Martin! :-)
@Guiseppe, You are near a tower with the same name as the city...

Hmm just arrived at home and too late 2 ;-) ... in 1983 I stood on the top of the Paglia Orba and looked into "the Eye of Capu Tafunatu" - I think you know what I mean :-) ...

Hello Hans-Jörg. Corsican language is a kind of mixture between Tuscan and Genoese. But it is as it was spoken in the Middle Ages ;-) and it is not always easy to understand for an Italian.
"Capu" is easy, but "Tafunatu" is incomprehensible to me. However I saw the translation on the web ...

;-) Capu Tafunatu is the opposite mountain of Pagila Orba- impressive with its big hole (eye) !!
