An old pano from the deep vaults...A nice early spring view through the 300 mm tele to Kalundborg Fjord. Its old name was "Hærvig", meaning "Inlet for the Army". The name is 1000 years old, from the oldest larger military organisation of Scandinavia. Kalundborg Fjord was the rendevouz-point for the danish fleet, ledingsflåden. Descriped here in english:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leidang

Kalundborg Fjord has a central allocation, is sheltered from most sides, and is deep. Therefore the natural place to meet. Even today, it is one of the deepest ports in Denmark, and one of the most important pilot service ports.

Pano made from 29 LF (RAW), Canon 550D, 300mm, iso-200, f/6,3, 1/640 sec, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, periphal illumination, ALO off, moderate sharpness, stitched in PTGui pro, contrast, downscaling and sharpening in Irfanview.

Beautiful!
The bridge seems so delicate, nothing more than a very thin eyelid on the surface of the sea...

I enjoy more your landscapes than some places in Italy ;-)

That is of course completely OK, Jörg :-) I myself wasn't that much into squares and churches, but when experiencing them IRL in Rome was too overwhelming to ignore, and through them I have come to appreciate them more in generel also. LG Jan.

Another great Danish view. I only suspect that the horizon is slightly higher on the left edge than the right edge? Cheers, Martin
