From time to time it can be interesting to make a direct comparison of the same event at the same location within a short space of time. The sunset over this wonderful landscape proved to be such an opportunity - hence the uploads of #22223 and #22224.
As can be seen the pictures span 40 minutes, so in classic southern european style, the golden and blue hour is comprised within one single hour :-)
The first two days of our stay in Croatia proved to be very clear, so the first evening we tried to find a good overview location to enjoy the sunset. Not far from Posedarje, where we stayed, the landscape was typically mediterranian scrub landscape with no fences, so we simply went up. I tried to keep the little church ruin to the left in the frame, and also the near shore, instead of getting as high up as possible.
Besides the small bay of Novigradsko More, the showpiece is of course the Velebit range in the background.
Pano made from 14 pics (RAW), Canon 6D, 50 mm, f/8, 1/320 sec, iso-125, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTGui pro, darkness brightened in GIMP, downscaled and sharpened in Irfanview.
