The classical end-of-the-world destinations - 8000s, Seven summits, Poles and so on, are strictly reserved to people with money.
So, I was figuring out a collection of surrogate destinations for the benefit of the Poor Man. Allow me to show some of them, in case there be some other Poor Man anywhere besides me.
The only contact between Puerto Eden and the outside world is the weekly Navimag ship Puerto Montt - Puerto Natales, ship from which the present panorama is taken.
The stop at Puerto Eden lasts some hour since, given the above conditions, there is a lot of stuff to embark (mainly local seafood) and disembark.

The poor man with wrong coordinates.

Heinz: the coordinates are those provided, namely -49.13105 -74.41146, as per Garmin 60GSSx. At least this can be afforded even by the Poor Man!
Could it be that some simple coordinate trick or magic could transport the Poor Man to any precious destination... but, alas, only sheer Money performs such miracles nowadays!

Alberto, entschuldige die Unwissenheit eines armen Mannes, der sich nicht vorstellen konnte, daß dort eine so große Insel und ein Hafen sein kann. Von Puerto Natales hatte ich zwar schon gehört, es aber an der Magellan-Straße vermutet. Gott sei Dank gibt es Google Maps, denn mit seiner Hilfe konnte ich mir jetzt ein Bild machen - von den Entfernungen, die Du armer Mann zurückgelegt haben mußt, um so interessante Panorama-Bilder zu machen.
PS: Weißt Du, daß panoramio im nächsten Monat seinen Dienst einstellt?

Panoramio: ja, ich weiss, und alle unsere Links werden verloren gehen...
Navimag: ich werde bald eine GPS-Track der ganzen Route Puerto Mont - Puerto Natales erstellen.
