Genua aus dem Osten.

Genoa is the capital of Liguria and the sixth largest city in Italy. It has a long and important maritime history and even now its port is the largest and most important Italian port.

Fascinating city. (At least that's what I believe, for I have never been there.)

I find the Ligurian hills that one passes (and abruptly enters from the Po plains) when approaching Genova from the North just as fascinating as the city itself. Good to see both here. Cheers, Martin

@Arne: Genoa is not a city well-known for tourism, but I like it a lot. Genoa has many flaws, including a chaotic traffic and many modern buildings ugly and messy. But also has a wonderful geographical position and some glimpses of the old city very beautiful and characteristic.
@Martin: as often happens, I agree with you.
