Der Artesonraju ist einer von etwa 50 Gipfeln der Cordillera Blanca in den peruanischen Anden. Der Gipfel, welcher einer Pyramide ähnelt, befindet sich zwischen zwei Schluchten und erreicht eine Höhe zwischen 5999 und 6025 Metern. Der Artesonraju ist im Sommer zur Gänze von Schnee, im Winter von Eis bedeckt. Der Berg wird als Vorlage für den Berg im Logo der Paramount Pictures gesehen.

Was ist denn mit dem See los, warum läuft der nicht aus? Fällt mir schwer zu glauben, dass das komplett korrekt ausgerichtet sein soll. Jenseits dieses Zweifels natürlich genial schön, auch durch die Einbeziehung des Vordergrunds. VG Peter

I believe that the adjustment of the pano is correct. The near waterside is much closer to the position of the photographer and because of the deep insight it leaves this impression. Basically the valley to the left has the same orientation (only without water). On the other hand I can be totally wrong ... but I can stand it :-)
