"Dugo Polje", the "long plain" in the middle of Bjelasnica, the mountain of Sarajevo.
As you can see, even in a summer Sunday this is not a crowded place.
Lukomir, which was the subject of a previous panorama of mine, is hidden at the end of the long plain, on the left.
With this work I interrupt the series of 17 consecutive sea panoramas, which have pushed the patience of the Betrachter close to the extreme limits. Geographically, the sea is not that far, but in the reality it is farther than on the map. The people of Lukomir like to report how it is common for them to hear from the radio that tourists are swimming and tanning on the Dalmatian coast, while here it is steel freezing or even snowing. Not by chance, after all, Bjelasnica means "white mountain"...

Nice panorama, but
what happened to your "church" of Luserna?

Luserna?
It has returned to the disk for the second time. Namely, once more it did not seem to arise any interest, whereas in my opinion the topic was not one deserving indifference.
If you like, you still find the photo on www.panoramio.com/photo/120091156
The press description of the event is on www.lusern.it/it/rassegna-stampa/stampa/?IDAP=32399 but only in Italian.
If you want to read something "Lusernar" in German, try out www.lusern.it/it/rassegna-stampa/stampa/?IDAP=32408 but that is another story!

Cheers, Alberto.

PS: concerning the "church". The sacred building which is closest to the standpoint of this picture is what some funny people call the "rocket mosque" of Umoljani: www.panoramio.com/photo/97061352

Dear Alberto,
I'm sorry just a few people have been interested in your "church". Most of us try to build an united Europe; therefor in my opinion we are obliged to remember and discuss such evil things from the past.
I have been glad to see your panorama, and, especially, the text beside it. I also thank you for your link concerning the Option for Luserner people.
Cheers, Matthias

I like this one very much - unknown territory, and probably a feast of butterflies, flora and perhaps birds. Also funny with the "almost always" easily identifiable slavic words, like bela/bjala/bjela/bielsko, czarny/crn/cerny, related to the germanic words for birch/birke and tar/teer, among others.
