One of the top attractions of the Ziz valley is the Source Bleue de Meski, a natural spring among the palms, to which unfortunately a concrete swimming pool has been annexed, with the usual plethora of kitsch souvenir shops. In low season, however, you can still enjoy excerpts of a more authentic local life, with mules travelling up and down from the above village, carrying women going to the water to do cloth-washing, which here is a major socialization moment.
On the rocky platform dominating the eroded valley, you can still have a good shooting time, for example comparing styles of transportation which differ by several orders of magnitude both in weight and in budget: Or, more conventionally, you can take a picture of the old kasbah on the other side, surging above the palms. For my taste, this is captured best by the Einzelbild version which also employs the old honoured polarizer, unlike the panorama shown here. My mind went to this old work while looking at the exotic N.17211.

I suspected the source of inspiration before reading the text ;-) Very nice with the kasbah in the background and actually very typical combination of colours. Cheers, Martin
