Barolo is one of the finest Italian wines; some say the best.
Barolo wine comes from the village in the "Langhe" bearing the same name. It is now made in eleven villages, all situated on the scenic Langhe hills shaped by centuries of vine cultivation. "Serralunga d'Alba" is one of the eleven villages.

I have to re-post my picture of the area ASAP (nobody liked it ...). I know the village, I have been there once in summer. I felt never so lonely ... nobody around, not a single tourist, no locals, not even a cat straying around. But ... a BEAUTIFUL village, and the espresso at the Piazza Maria Cappellano was quite good.

I really like the "Langhe". The scenery is very beautiful, the food is good and the wine is great. You will see many more of my panos of the Langhe.
But I also understand those who think that the Langhe are boring and without tourist attractions. Depends on your taste.
However, if you are lucky with the weather and there is good visibility, the views of the Alps are spectacular.
