Panorama Photo

I had great expectations for our little Harz journey, as to the amount of spectacular panos I could produce. The sad story is (we had a nice trip, don't worry) that I only made 3 - this being the last. We made this trip Drei Annen Hohne - Brocken and back on our first day; a warm and sunny day. After that it was bye-bye with the sun, and clouds and rain the next three days.

We took the train up and hiked down. It took the whole afternoon, which was very nice, and we spend the time enjoying, eating blueberries and me photographing butterflies, in particular Erebia ligea (not in Denmark), Boloria aquilonaris and Lycaena virgaureae (both rare on Sjælland).

We took the Harzer Hexenstieg, and passed the Trudenstein rocks. A nice panorama point, but sadly growing over, especially to the right, as you can see. There is a wiki-page here:

As can be read, the rocks apparently was used in CA Friedrichs Watzmann-painting.

The pano was made from 10 pics (RAW), 1/400 sec, f/8, iso-100, 50 mm, developed in DPP (5500K, neutral, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTgui pro, minor contrast adjustment and a twig removed in GIMP, colour adjustment, re-scaling and sharpness in IrfanView.

As with the former Harz-panos, the colours confused me. It was perhaps developed a tick too warm, but seemed ok until contrast adjustment and downscaling - again the dust in the sky in particular got a magenta cast. In Irfanview saturation then 2 steps down, and a tick of red and magenta out/cyan and green in.
