Here is another image taken along the Khovd river (see N. 12958). Believe it or not, we are no more than 4 km far from the central square of Olgii, the largest town in Western Mongolia, and to take these photos I have set out by foot along the «highway» to Sagsai and Tsengel.

90% of these people are Kazakh; there is also a Tuvan minority.
If I were asked to choose a symbolic place in town I will say: the mosque with a Mongolian ger in its courtyard, www.panoramio.com/photo/87179381
Moreover, I suppose that in no other town anywhere the sky is so full of birds of prey like here. It is not by chance that the great happening in Olgii is the mid-October gathering of the eagle-hunters, now regularly chased also by Western tourists.
