Piazzia della Loggia is the most famous square in Brescia (80 Km east of Milan) and was inaugurated in 1433.
It is dominated by the Renaissance Palace of the Loggia, nowadays the town hall. On the south side, the 15th and 16th century façades of the Monti di Pietà are worthy of note as tombstones and other pieces of Roman stonework have been set into their walls.
The east arcade is surmounted by a building that incorporates the beautiful sixteenth century mechanical Clock Tower, where two human figures, popularly called "the hourly dafties", used to strike the hours on the bell.
In 1974 it was the site of a terrorist attack that resulted in eight dead and eighty wounded.

Reflections on the wet pavement creates this image with a wonderful balance between natural and artificial lighting. Beautiful image. Paul.

Couldn't have said it better than Paul. Very nice view. I'm not quite sure about the vertical lines at the very left. Cheers, Martin

The water is like a mirror for the lights. Very good work!
