Die Städte Viechtach und Oberviechtach (mein Panorama #8730) werden oft verwechselt, haben aber nichts miteinander zu tun. Sie liegen in Ostbayern, etwa 60km voneinander entfernt, Oberviechtach in der Oberpfalz, Viechtach in Niederbayern.
Viechtach hat im Fremdenverkehr bei weitem die Nase vorn: die Stadt, die früher ebenfalls Kreisstadt war, liegt am Schwarzen Regen mitten im Bayerischen Wald.

Hi Wilfrid. I like this one (Viechtach) better than the one before (Oberviechtach). It's nice and sharp, and a good impression of the citys place in the nature surrounding it. Perhaps the ending in the middle of a building is a little abrupt. The "decapitated" trees doesn't really annoy me, but the pano wouldn't be worse, if it started a little more to the right. LG Jan.

Hi Jan, thanks for your appreciation. I could of course have left out the trees on the left side, but I wanted to include the mountain Hoher Bogen in order to show that it can be seen from this place in Viechtach. Kind regards Wilfried
