Altopiano del Quarto Grande is a mountain plateau in southern Abruzzo located at the southernmost slopes of the Maiella massif at a height of approximately 1300 m s.l.m.

It is part of the so-called major plateaus of Abruzzo. They are a group of karstic highlands connected to each other, located in southern Abruzzo (see also pano 22076).
They are little known also in Italy, but it is a very beautiful area.

Giuseppe, a question of curiosity. This is already quite a big distance from where you live, do you drove to this place by car?

Hi Mentor. I did the summer holidays. I went to the beach in Puglia by car. During the trip I made some detours to visit some places.

Very impressive landscape. From the huge, tree-free mountain massif Monte Pizzalto it is certainly possible to make nice panoramas.

I do not know well this area. It was the first time I went there. But I also think that from Monte Pizzalto you can take nice panoramas.

Probably the most exquisite viewpoint in this stretch of Appennino is La Meta (2241):

Cheers, Alberto.
