Ein Panorama, das mir schon lange im Kopf umging und das ich auf jeden Fall fotografieren wollte, ist der Blick über die Gondel-Anlegestelle an der Mole di San Marco hinüber zur Isola San Giorgio.

Im Anschliss an die Molo di San Marco folgt die Riva degli Schiavoni, d i e Flaniermeile der Stadt. Ihren Namen hat sie von den vornehmlich aus Dalmatien in die Markusstadt eingewanderten Slawen (Schiavoni), die ab dem 9. Jahrhundert hier mit ihren Waren, meist Fleisch und Fisch, anlegten.

I have a pano almost from the same position, though taken at night. But the gondolas are not steady and with long exposure times they are blurry...

Das war vermutlich auch eher früh am Tag, so wenig wie noch los ist. Aber umso besser, denn das Licht ist auch viel schöner als vermutlich später am Mittag...

Very good pano! Very good light!

Although this is the Molo. Riva degli Schiavoni (i. e. Dalmatians, among the most loyal subjects of the Republic) begins beyond Ponte della Paglia, which is hidden at the very left of the photo, and ends at Ponte della Ca' di Dio.
