The Monferrato is a historical and geographical region of Piedmont.
Its territory is almost entirely hilly and extends southward from the right bank of the Po until you reach the foot of the Ligurian Apennines.
Monferrato is one of the most famous Italian wine regions, especially as regards red wines and sparkling wines.
Compared to Albugnano (pano 14724), the Alps can be seen much more from a distance, but, in theory, can be seen from Gran Paradiso to the Ligurian Apennines (and other).
In the pano you see some vineyards, but this is not the area of wines. The most famous vineyards are located about twenty kilometers to the southwest.

Alberto.
Brozolo nella panoramica non si vede. E' circa 15 Km a nord-ovest.
@ Hans-Jörg: I'm glad you like good wine.
@Friedemann: I also like the contrast between white and green. The highest mountains are covered by clouds and not seen.
