Ballyconneely is a peninsula in Connemara, jutting into the Atlantic, between Clifden to the north and Roundstone to the south.
The pano shows in the background the Twelve Bens, generally considered the most beautiful mountains in Ireland.
The highest point in the Twelve Bens is Benbaun at 729 metres.
